The 2019 Yamaha YXZ1000R is on its way to dealerships now with a host of upgrades and the same base price tag as 2018.
Yamaha says that first gear has been made lower, helpful to get more power to the ground right off the line in the 2019 YXZ model. Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) has added its connecting rods, making it easier and simpler to install the GYTR turbo kit.
New styling has been added for 2019 which helps with driver visibility, while a larger radiator has been added behind the occupant seats, eliminating excess cabin heat and preventing clogging.
New suspension settings, larger all-wheel disc brakes, and big 29-inch Maxxis Bighorn tires are also part of the package. Finally, pre-wiring for the Yamaha Adventure Pro GPS system is also now present.
Pricing for the 2019 model starts exactly where the 2018 did, at $18,999 USD. That price tag applies to both the full-manual and Sport Shift models. Special Edition versions are available with different graphics packages, selling for $20,599 USD. The special edition YXZ1000R SS comes packing a suntop, true bead-lock wheels, accessory lighting and $21,799 USD.
“The new 2019 models have been redesigned for any environment across the country, and are arriving now in dealers – available just in time for fall trail adventures and the upcoming dune season,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV/SxS group marketing manager.
