The second instalment in a series of films about desert racer Casey Currie has dropped, showcasing his preparation for the upcoming 2019 Dakar Rally.
Currie will be tackling the race behind the wheel of a Can-Am Maverick X3 as part of the brand’s effort to field a factory team this year. In the newly released video, we can see Currie prepping for the race as he takes us through some of the highs and lows of his racing career.
Can-Am is sending a three-racer team to Dakar including American Casey Currie, the reigning Dakar champion Reinaldo Varela and Gerard Farres.
The 2019 Dakar Rally will take place entirely in Peru and run a 5,000-km route over the course of 11 days.
Last year’s Dakar Rally was the very first to allow side-by-sides to compete and Can-Am took the win with a Maverick X3 piloted by Reinaldo Varela.
