Ski-Doo has introduced two new models to its 2020 lineup, a redesigned Expedition and a new Expert package for deep snow riding on the Summit X.
The new Ski-Doo Expedition now rids on the REV Gen4 platform with a 20-inch wide track, making it a little better for work and play. The Expedition still has the best tow capacity in the industry, helped by a proper low-range transmission.
Cargo capacity is also industry leading on the Expedition, which can be fit with a wide array of accessories thanks to the Muli-LinQ plate system used by Ski-Doo. New attachments include a variety of specialized carrying boxes for tools like chainsaws.
The other new sleds for 2020 are all about extreme riding. The new Ski-Doo Summit X with Expert package includes a shorter tunnel, revised front spindles, re-tuned suspension and better ergonomics for aggressive riding.
There’s also the new Backcountry X-RS 154, ready for mountain riding with a 154-inch track length. The proven Ski-Doo cMotion rear suspension cross-over front suspension helps to control things in the deepest powder.
“Ski-Doo is the number one snowmobile brand in the world because of our continuous innovation and drive to improve the rider experience,” said Bernard Guy, BRP Senior Vice-President Global Product Strategy. “This year is no different. We gathered feedback from riders and experts around the world to better understand what they crave. The result is an incredibly capable, highly functional lineup with models for riders of all skill levels. We are redefining the experience of riding a snowmobile.”
