Polaris Donates Rangers to Disaster Response Team

When disaster strikes it’s good to be prepared, and thanks to Polaris, Team Rubicon is ready.

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led disaster response organization, doing their work to help residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota along with Nebraska communities including Sarpy, Cass, Colfax and Platte Counties.

When Winter Storm Ulmer hit this year, bringing with it snow and record flooding, Polaris stepped up and gave six new Ranger utility side-by-sides to the team, to help the relief effort. The storm destroyed about 16 million acres and easily caused billion of dollars in damage.

“Working with Polaris during a disaster like Winter Storm Ulmer, which brought massive amounts of damage across the Midwest, has a great impact on the mission of Team Rubicon and the survivors that we are serving,” said Brian Meagher, Strategic Partnerships Officer at Team Rubicon. “The ability to come in as a force multiplier to assist Team Rubicon in helping more people is what it is all about.”

Of course, these Rangers can help with many things, and were being used to help clear falling trees and debris as well as ferry people around.
