2019 Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 Review – Video Review

The Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 is the top echelon of performance from the brand, and one its most admirable qualities is how accessible all that performance really is.

Besides the racing-focused RXP model, the RXT-X is the most aggressive model you can buy from the brand, pumping out 300 horsepower from its supercharged engine. The X package is a a big part of what makes this machine so aggressive, including add-ons light angled foot rests, knee pads, unique graphics, launch control and unique sponsons.

Yes, you read that right, this Personal Watercraft (PWC) has launch control. Simply hold both trim buttons at the same time and launch mode initiates. Using an ECU, taking off in launch mode ensures the angle of the jet is just right to give you maximum acceleration. Sea-Doo lists the official 0-60 mph time in just under four seconds, though that is more of a 5-60 mph time as it’s measured using a running start.

During our time with the machine, we did a proper 0-60 test, though there were a few things working against me. First, I have to slam the glovebox shut to protect my phone, and starting in neutral means there is a delay going into drive. Despite these things slowing me down, and my heavier than average body weight (315 lbs), I still managed a 4.95 0-60 mph run, a testament to how damn quick this machine is coming out of the hole.
