We love powersports here at TFLOffroad, so anytime we get the chance to see inside an OEM’s doors, we don’t pass up the chance.
In this case, that OEM is Yamaha Canada, and we got to take a tour of the brand’s toy room, packed nearly from wall to wall with all sorts of machines, including some brand new 2020 models.
Yamaha has a comprehensive powersports lineup, covering ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, jet boats, personal watercraft, outboard motors and more.
On the ATV side of things, we saw the 2020 Kodiak and it’s new color schemes, a white finish with blue accents and also a camo finish that has been added to the big ATVs this year.
The award for craziest machine we saw in the toy room goes to the Yamaha Niken, a three-wheel machine that looks nothing like the other bikes on the road. Thanks to twin wheels in the front, the Niken is said to be much better than a standard motorcycle in wet weather, as you have a larger contact patch touching the ground.
We also got to take a look at a couple of machines that will be featured on the channel in the coming weeks and months, those being the AR195 sport boat and the Yamaha YFZ450R.
The YFZ is cool in particular because many OEMs got out of the sport ATV business altogether, and no one else competes in the 450 class, so this machine stands alone.
To see all the other great machines hiding in the Yamaha toy room, make sure you watch the video embedded above.
