Ford has announced a partnership with off-road brand ARB and the first fruit of this tie-up is already available.
The first part that is available through ARB is a winch-capable front bumper for the Ranger with additional components for other Ford trucks and SUVs coming soon.
The bumper is made from 3/16ths thick sheet steel and is finished with Integrit powder coat. Ford made sure that adding this bumper wouldn’t affect its safety systems, so spots are built-in for the sensors that run the Ford Co-Pilot 360 suite of assistance technologies. The bumper was also crash tested on the truck and it “meets regulatory crash test standards” according to Ford.
Besides adding mounting points, recovery points and jacking points with the new bumper, there is already a range of accessories that will fit it, like Warn winches, Rigid LED lightbars, Antennas and sand flag mounts.
The new bumper will be available through your local Ford dealer in 2020 at a cost of $1,495 before installation.
