Chevy offers a winter-ready package built to prepare its largest trucks for the coldest conditions.
The Alaskan package brings along a handful of features that prepare these HD trucks for the winter, including the snow plow prep package, all-terrain tires, rubberized floor, Alaskan decals, roof marker lights and 18-inch wheels.
The most important of all those must be the snow plow prep package, getting this truck ready for a big old snow plow hanging off its nose. Opt for the prep package and you will get heavy duty front suspension, the necessary wiring for running the plow control, a heavy duty alternator and the wiring for running a roof-mounted strobe light.
Snow plowing will also be easier in 2020 thanks to the all the power from GM’s HD engines. You can opt for the new 6.6-liter gas V8 making 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque or go for the big 6.6-liter Duramax diesel, making 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft.
