The Lexus GX Overland Concept is Ready To Tackle Any Terrain For The Ultimate Glampers!

Lexus is not always the first brand you think of when it comes to off-road, but with the bones of a Toyota Land Cruiser underneath, the GX460 is as legit as they come.

Lexus of Canada wanted to prove that point with the GX460 Overland Concept, an off-road SUV built with aftermarket parts preparing it for an overland adventure. Icon long-travel suspension lifts the GX while a rootop tent, portable shower cube and large awning all adorn the top of the vehicle getting it ready for camping.

A set of 33-inch Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain tires provide the traction, with extra rubber hanging on the back of the GX from a hitch-mounted carrier that features a small flip up table.

A custom wrap complete the look with topographical map graphics splatted on both sides of the GX.

And underneath it all is the Lexus GX460 which already comes with plenty of 4×4 gear, like Toyota’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and underfloor camera view, showing you what’s underneath the vehicle, even when you’re off-road.

This concept made its initial debut at the 2020 Montreal Auto Show but we caught up with it at the 2020 Toronto Auto Show. To see it for yourself, watch the entire video above.
