More information of the upcoming Ford Bronco has hit the internet, including all of the color options and an educated guess as to what the transmission will be.
The transmission information comes directly from supplier Getrag, revealing information on a brand new seven-speed manual that would be a perfect fit for the new off-road focused SUV. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the timing of the reveal and nature of the tranmission makes it appear to be a sure thing.
What’s really interesting about this new is that Getrag lists a low crawler gear built into the transmission, essentially offering a low-range gear in the stick shift that will be further complemented by a two-speed transfer case. The result should be some seriously low gearing. And for those that don’t want to row their own gears, a 10-speed automatic is widely believed to be on offer as well.
Of course, engines are unknown at this point as well, though we expect the Bronco to use the same Ecoboost four-cylinder found in the Ranger midsize pickup.
As for the paint colors, a website called AutomotiveTouchUp.com has let the cat out of the bag, revealing the paint codes and shades for the new Bronco on its site. To see the colors for yourself, take a look at the screenshot below. Otherwise, here are the names of all 10 hues: Absolute Black, Antimatter Blue Metallic, Area 51, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Cyber Orange Pearl, Fighter Jet Gray, Iconic Silver Metallic, Lucid Red Pearl, Oxford White, and Race Red.
