If engine sound is important to you, consider listening to this 702 horsepower 2021 Ram TRX as it rumbles

No one who loves serious American horsepower can deny how awesome big V8s sound – and that includes this supercharged 2021 Ram TRX. It sounds like hellfire – simply idling while parked. For those of you who buy exhaust and muffler kits for your trucks, this is how an automaker can do it out of the box. The fact that aftermarket exhaust systems is a multi-million-dollar business, so there are quite a few of you who like to hear your truck’s engine.

These images were taken from the Instagram page. This one’s a bit compressed, but the sound quality of the video below is not too shabby.

The 2021 Ram TRX has a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat-sourced (yet modified) V8. It makes 702 horsepower @ 6,100 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque. The TRX comes only with the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Right now, it is not only the most powerful pickup truck, it is on the top 10 for most powerful American vehicles sold in North America.

About the video:

The original Instagram video posted by hydrotrx on Instagram shows a process likely to annoy your neighbors. They simply click on the auto-start function on the key-fob and beast clears it throat.

Roman narrates the video and gives you additional details about this upcoming monster.

If you couldn’t tell, we’re very excited! So excited in fact, we already put our names down for a brand new TRX when they’re available later this year.
