It’s not a Ranger Raptor, but it is a serious off-road upgrade.

The Tremor suspension offers approximately 0.8-inch lift with unique springs and FOX 2.0 shocks. The rear shocks are equipped with a remore piggy-back reservoir. Total ground clearance now stands at 9.7 inches. The maximum payload stands at 1,430 lbs. This is near the top of the segment for any midsize 4×4 pickup truck. The maximum Tremor towing capacity remains at 7,500 lbs.

The Ranger FX4 front bumper and skid plates are still there. The Tremor has the following specs: 30.9 deg approach angle (up 2.2 deg), a 25.5 deg departure angle (up 0.1 deg), and a 24.2 deg breakover angle (up 2.7 deg).

Power-train

Like the Ranger FX4, the Tremor will offer the same off-road Trail Control system. Also, like the regular Ford Ranger, the power-train choices remain the same. That includes the 270 hp 2.3-liter turbocharged I4 with that makes 310 lb-ft of torque and the 10-speed automatic transmission.

A factory engine tune is available, which can increase the output and additional 45 hp and 60 lb-ft of torque – on 93-octane.
